The objective of this feasibility study is to establish the conditions under which Cloud-Based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions are acceptable to network engineers in the United States (U.S.) telecommunications market, to identify any data security challenges which could impede access by industrial users, and to analyse whether cloud software can meet organisational requirements. The project will initially engage with U.K./U.S. partners before branching out to additional prospective customers through networking events. The final report will identify viable pathways for commercialisation of SaaS engineering solutions in the telecommunications sector, with particular emphasis on emerging radio-frequency/microwave component technology.

MaxLLG currently offers expert consultancy advice in microwave magnetic materials and is seeking to diversify their commercial offering by developing a SaaS beta-prototype EMW simulator that more accurately simulates electromagnetic wave effects. Magnetic components and devices are widely utilised in radio-frequency (RF) and microwave technology. However, at present there is no commercial electromagnetic simulation software which can correctly account for magnetic phenomenon in the RF/microwave frequency range. MaxLLG intends to address this deficiency.
