Company description
Curtis Analytics provides an analytical service for the measurement of free asparagine, other free amino acid and sugar concentrations in food raw materials. It was founded by Dr Tanya Curtis who was previously a member of my team (PhD student and post-doc). This arose directly from the funding provided for this short project. The company is located in the Daniel Hall Building, Rothamsted Centre for Research and Enterprise (RoCRE).
Curtis Analytics provides agricultural produce testing, research and advisory services, aimed at reducing the amount of acrylamide in food.
Project impact
It is early days but the company has business from major food processing companies, mostly in the cereal sector. It is clearly providing a much-needed service and has already taken on one employee.
