Nexsys Analytics operates a website designed to provide water management and planning services.
This is a University of Manchester spinout company that was created to maintain the software tools created by the FutureDAMS project (and other projects from the University of Manchester Water Resources Group, PI: Prof. J. Harou).
The company is using FutureDAMS approaches and sofware tools on international projects, e.g., funded by the World Bank and other UK and international organisations. These projects relate to the assessment and design of water resource infrastructure investements. The company also maintains the www.waterstrategy.org portal, which is free for use. This online design tool allows simulating water resource systems in order to evaluate interventions to them (such as new dams, or new management of dams). The tools allows to investigate how water developments impact other sectors (energy, food production, environment) and vice-versa.
