Company description
"Molydyn is a polymer simulation platform that helps labs screen and characterize polymers in hours instead of weeks, using physics-based molecular modeling and deep-learning technology."
Molydyn develops a polymer simulation platform that uses molecular modelling and deep-learning to rapidly characterise and predict polymer properties.
Molydyn is working to make computational chemistry accessible to materials scientists. Simulation can give much needed direction for laboratory research, using the same tools the pharmaceutical industry has championed for the last 20+ years. By predicting material candidates digitally, industry and academia can save considerable resources by reducing the initial screening process down to a week, instead of several months. Additionally, virtual screening produces no physical waste allowing for novel materials to be explored without the challenge of waste disposal.
Project impact
Molydyn has developed Atlas, an accessible web platform designed to help material scientists benefit from simulations, without years of specialised training. Launched in September 2022, Atlas is growing to make simulation easier and more powerful, with a dedicated focus on new polymeric materials. We are expanding our offering to partner with industry to develop sustainable materials with Atlas.

Smart Design of New Composite Materials with Chemical Simulation
1 Jun 2023 to 30 Nov 2023
The composite materials industry is one of the UKs best examples of manufacturing. Representing £4.0 billion of the UK economy, the industry will be key to creating carbon fibre parts for the future of green air travel and hydrogen storage. In order to support these developments, new plastic (otherwise known as polymer) materials need to be researched and...
