Company description

Bioataraxis researches chemical technology that uses biomass to produce commodity products such as surfactants.

Bioataraxis: developing a key substance used in cleaning products (surfactant) that is made from 100% plant-based waste and performs as well as petrochemical-based alternatives. This is a spin-out that is based on Supergen activities at imperial College. Hemicellulose valorisation to value-added products was a core aim of TG2, and we have produced a new spin-out to commercialize furan-based surfactants. Some of the commercial partnerships came through Supergen events.
