The project is led by Blanc Aero Industries UK Ltd (**BAIUK**, part of LISI AEROSPACE). Collaborators are the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (**AMRC**). We aim to develop an Industry 4.0 test production-line for BAIUK and subsequently roll-out the developed technology to high-volume production-lines at BAIUK (who are based in Rugby). The project goes significantly beyond global state-of-the-art fasteners production processes. For example, the project incorporates machine learning, and aims to eliminate in-process inspection through prediction of component quality from sensor data and data analytics. **Airbus** have provided a letter of support.
