Two of the major prohibiting factors limiting the uptake of contactless payments via mobile devices are (a) lack of confidence in the security of such devices, and (b) resistance to change, which itself is often a by-product of point (a). Orb Information Technology develop commercial solutions relating to the prevention of id theft for contactless commerce, and aim to use their patented solutions and wider know-how to develop a series of complementary products for some aspects of mCommerce applications. These will primarily compromise peripherals as opposed to on-platform software solutions.
