An alliance between an inventor and the residents of a Hull council estate
The Oxypod is in the front-line of the fight against Fuel Poverty
The Goodwin Development Trust, from Hull’s Thornton Estate, and a 67-year-old former-smithy turned inventor have joined forces to develop and bring to market the Oxypod – an energy saving product that can reduce heating bills by up to 30%. The Oxypod is a device with no moving parts, it is made from steel, it has a 40-year guarantee and can be fitted to a heating system’s water feed in 90 minutes or less. It has been developed to ease financial pressure on consumers, particularly those most at risk of fuel poverty.
Owned and developed by a charitable Trust
The Oxypod is jointly and equally owned by the Goodwin Development Trust and the Oxypod’s inventor, Stan. It has been trialed and field-tested in numerous
environments. There are no shareholders - which means we can ensure the Oxypod’s affordability to those who need it most. All profits will be ploughed back into furthering the Trust’s charitable objectives and developing initiatives to improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable people in society.
About Stan
Stan is a 67-year-old Champion Archer and inventor who served his apprenticeship as a smithy in Kirkstall Forge, Yorkshire. The Goodwin Development Trust is proud to join forces with him in combating fuel poverty.
