13nr 2, 3 and 5 bedroom council homes to be completed by the end of 2011 Delivering CSH Level 5 homes for standard dwelling build costs This value for money affords larger areas (just above the proposed HCA HQA consultation draft) Total costs are competitive with other schemes delivering to the previous HCA standards Pilot scheme houses are designed to expand from 2/4 (or 5) bedrooms 2/4 bedroom expansion/adaptation would cost approx'£8k HQI score 83% This project has helped our team achieving recognition from the HCA SW, who are in dialogue about working on a larger scale mixed tenure development programme in the Region. This evaluation will help to inform and guide our future design and technical development.

13 CSH Level 5 houses form a pilot scheme for an innovative approach to affordable mixed tenure housing design, procurement and finance, with large scale delivery potentials. Swindon Borough Council selected NPS in competition with RSL providers on the basis that these proposals offered considerably better space standards (marginally above the current HCA HQA consultation document), the ability to adapt and expand dwellings, energy and comfort strategies.
