Alert Technology Ltd (ALT) developers of the 'Asbestos ALERT' - the world's first real-time warning device for airborne asbestos fibres are now working on the second-generation product in their innovative range, the ALERT PRO 2000. The new PRO 2000 will utilise our patented light scattering technology, the paramagnetic properties of asbestos fibres and ALERT's complex algorithm to provide statistical analysis to 99% confidence that alerts when carcinogenic asbestos fibres have been disturbed and become airborne. The company recently widened our product offering, securing an exclusive arrangement for the UK and Ireland (& non-exclusive in Japan, Spain & Australia) to supply a professional portable air cleaner under the trademark 'PureAir R150', scientifically proven to kill 99.43% of airborne viruses and to clear to 99.995% efficiency of other airborne contaminates. At a time when safe air has never been more prevalent given the current pandemic reality we inhabit, exposure to unsafe air at work, including known carcinogens like asbestos, should not be a modern reality but sadly it still very much is. Asbestos remains the biggest occupational killer globally, claiming 255,000 lives every year. There is no safe level of exposure to asbestos fibres but prolonged exposure can significantly increase the risk of developing several terminal cancers, but the ALERT aims to reduce this risk of prolonged, unintentional exposure. Utilising ATL's current technology and incorporating additional sensors and the PureAir's ventilation and purification capabilities, the company believes it will help address the main dangers caused by poor indoor air quality (IAQ) where Europeans spend a staggering 90% of their time. Poor IAQ results in numerous adverse health effects, claiming millions of lives annually, by linking the new PRO 2000 to optional additional sensors and to purification devices such as the PureAir R150 we can dramatically improve indoor air quality. ATL aims to become a world leader in the real-time detection of asbestos and safe air. Our devices will transform global asbestos safety and indoor air quality through continuous product development including both the manufacture and provision of innovative hardware.
