BeWarm and SkyRad are collaborating on a project to build a black-box device and software platform to monitor domestic heating systems, the heart of every home. Our innovative and unique approach aims to provide a self-fit Internet of Things solution that can work universally across heating equipment brands. BeWarm will install a number of prototype devices, built by Skyrad, into their fleet of domestic heating systems. These devices will provide real-world training data for the Software Platform to analyse using machine learning algorithms. The data will be mined to extract useful and actionable information. Our goal is to create value and increase productivity by reducing servicing and maintenance costs (currently £2bn per annum in the UK), increasing peace of mind and providing energy (and therefore carbon dioxide) saving advice to the UK's 23.3 million homes.
