GRD Proof of Market
MAJAX will provide an automated system to replace current methods of contacting groups of people immediately after a serious accident or incident. We are requesting funding to carry out a strategic market review to assess the feasibility, requirements and costing of this project. If and when major accidents do occur various teams or groups of people will need to be informed for differing reasons. For example, if a major road traffic accident occurs medical staff will need to be alerted. If there are a high number of casualties requiring surgery, hospitals may need to call in additional staff to cope with this. Existing systems usually take the form of a ‘phone tree’ and those with several levels can take up to 90 minutes to circulate and has many weaknesses as as system MAJAX allows a manager to send an instantaneous automated message to individuals or groups of people in the form of an email, text message or recorded voice message. It also allows the manager to see who has responded to the message, and view details of their location, availability and any other relevant information. In comparison to the phone tree system or other emergency response cascade systems MAJAX is far more efficient and reliable. Once this information is received by the manager they will be able to use it to coordinate additional teams and resources far more quickly, which can literally make the difference between life and death in emergency situations. MAJAX will be a software system with the capability to be hosted on our own servers, or by the organisation utilising the system. After some preliminary market research it appears that there is currently no software on the market capable of performing the tasks MAJAX will. We hope funding from the TSB will allow us to conduct further, in depth market analysis to ascertain the demand and market for the product.
