Biofortuna is a molecular diagnostic company that develops products for the translation market and offers a contract manufacturing service based on their unique manufacturing process. Its ability to stabilize molecular diagnostic reagents at ambient temperatures for up to 18 months enables transportation, distribution and simplicity. The company faces a bottle-neck in the manufacturing process and requires a cost effective, high throughput automated capping system designed for their type of tubes. In partnership with a design company Biofortuna will develop a unique automated system that can cap tubes. The increased throughput, speed and lower cost of goods will open up new more price competitive markets such as food testing and biopharmaceutical research.
