Scibotics Ltd, in the person of its principal, Tim Mitchell has established strong international
electronic, mechanical and software engineering contacts. During the past 15 years he has
been involved in the successful launch of several robotic domestic appliances including
Robomow and Robovac.
Scibotics Ltd has now achieved a first stage demonstration platform suitable for beta testing
of the software. This software has been incorporated into a dry-vac product, which effectively
provides a demonstration unit to attract further investment. To date all investment has been
made by the management of Scibotics Ltd, currently based in Northamptonshire, UK.
Scibotics Ltd wishes to develop a dedicated scrubber-dryer robot for the systematic cleaning
of hospital floors such as waiting areas and accident and emergency foyers. The product
contains a bespoke software algorithm, which offers audit-type reports detailing area covered
along with chemicals used.
The product will offer a fully automatic cleaning function, which from pressing a start button
will faultlessly and methodically clean a surface with a minimum of 90% coverage.
The robot will carry a dedicated water and chemical reservoir along with waste water
recycling and residue entrapment. This will enable the operator to clean in the most difficult
parts of the target area such as under vending machines and beneath fixed planters etc whilst
the robot cleans the major surface areas including under chairs and tables. The robot will
feature every safety-related item to ensure full compliance is offered, along with revolutionary
methods of alerting “Control” should the robot encounter circumstances requiring
intervention.
The robot will feature such accessories as a camera for live streaming and alert function if in a
secure area, snorkel attachment for cleaning under cupboards and vending machines, ultra
violet lamps beneath the platform and a patented surface neutralizer to reduce surface
contamination.
