The ultimate challenge for Hanoi Metro Line 5 will lie not in the construction of tunnelling, elevated guideways, formations or station buildings but in successfully integrating and commissioning a fully functioning safety critical system of systems; trains, stations, tracks, signalling, communications, power and operational behaviour. This project entitled "ISO 19650 from a Environmental Management perspective", will help Hanoi Metropolitan Railway Management Board (MRB) and Crossrail International, in meeting this challenge and importantly be a key step towards realising our government's desire, to globalise the UK BIM Framework, leading to exporting product and services opportunities, for UK companies. Additionally, it will bring to life the digital Journey of Hanoi Metro Line 5 by creating the golden thread that aligns the interests of: * owner and integrator organisations; * the delivery ecosystem which design, construct and commission; * those that operate and maintain the infrastructure system; A pivotal driver, is to fully exploit the ISO 19650 series key value proposition, namely to enhance information management practices for the ultimate owner-operator and end users. This project will specifically focus on the governance, business processes and asset lifecycle information needs, relating to environmental acceptance and for undertaking the roles, responsibilities and accountabilities of owner-operators, their integrator, the delivery ecosystem and asset management authority. This will generate the insights and analyses needed, to empower accountable decision-making and coordinate better interventions throughout the planning, development, delivery and asset performance phases of a rail system. At the heart of the project, is the industry's objective to pave the way towards achieving better outcomes, to help maximise the public value created by new rail infrastructure and increase the return on investment, for the communities they serve. ALIM Systems Limited (www.alimsystems.com) is the lead organisation, contracted to deliver the project outputs supported by its sister company Fenix South East Asia, who were contracted by Hitachi Ltd to provide an information requirement management system on the currently under construction Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Line 1 project, funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
