Collaborative R&D
The M1H Hydrogen internal combustion engine (ICE) is considered the next generation replacing the use of gasoline and diesel fuels. SheedTech has successfully built the Hydrogen ICE utilising the Innovate UK Fast Start Grant, Cardiff University Engine Casting, iNetic Ltd funded engine components and workshop facilities in November 2022 to June 2023\. Our engine technology differentiates itself from the hydrogen fuel cell; the H2 gas is injected for combustion inside the engine to produce the necessary power for several applications, including light-duty vehicles, small marine vessels, and motorbikes. The M1H engine which only produces water (H2O)and nitrogen oxides (NOx) as compared to the harmful exhaust gases of the conventional Internal Combustion Engine. In addition to our technical experts including sub-contractors the supporting organisation (iNetic) posses years of experience in the engine and alternative fuels technologies. Our team is expert in project management, resource management and risk assessment for sizable engineering projects. We would like to further enhance the injection system for our M1H engine. It will include the programming on the electronic control unit (ECU) of the engine, provision of hydrogen gas supply system, integration of specialised injectors, optimisation of injection timing, and solve the in-cylinder combustion issue to run well on hydrogen gas. In this final stage of the project our aim is engine testing and customer validation. There is an energy crisis around the world due to current political situation globally. In current, scenario it is crucial to switch to an alternative means of energy for transport sector. The governments around the world are investing to build infrastructure hydrogen filling stations. Our innovative project will be an immediate response to UK government zero emission policies.

Grant for R&D
We are currently building a Hydrogen Internal Combustion engine. Our engine is based on a well established racing engine innovated in 2008\. It has been tested and being used in racing vehicles for many years. Our engine technology differentiates itself from the hydrogen fuel cell; the H2 gas is injected for combustion inside the engine to produce the necessary power for several applications, including light-duty vehicles, small marine vessels, and motorbikes. We have successfully validated our initial small scale prototype M1H engine, which only produces water (H2O) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) as compared to the harmful exhaust gases of the conventional internal combustion engine. We have the right team in place who has expertise of project management, resource management and risk assessment in large size multimillion pounds projects. In addition, our team worked on many innovative projects from scratch, prototyping to serial production. We have expertise in the engine technology working on alternative fuels. Our collaboration with Universities, specialists and other industrial sub-contractors suppliers, brings us into a very unique leading position with limited resources. In an another research project the **founder of Sheed Tech designed and manufactured a Novel Liquid Nitrogen** powered zero-emission engine at University of Birmingham. The initial calculations and simulation results were published in an International Journal cited as "Syed Farukh Javaid Rizvi, Sajjad Miran, Mudassar Azam, Waseem Arif, Muhammad Wasif, and Henrique Pacheco Garcia, **Numerical Analysis of a Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) Engine for Efficient Energy Conversion,** ACS Omega **2021** _6_ (24), 15663-15673, DOI: 10.1021/acsomega.1c00582" We have potential to launch and market the game changing hydrogen engine, especially suitable for UK, Europe and South East Asia market which will an addition to the UK exports and UK economy would directly benefit from it. In this initial stage of the industrial research project, **we aim to develop a fully working hydrogen powered engine** which will open up the door for potential serial production and commercialisation, benefiting UK economy.
