Reality Mine is focused on developing the world's leading solution to provide accurate measurement of consumer consumption of media across all digital platforms - "omniplatform" measurement. Reality Mine has already produced tools that measure exactly how consumers use the various devices, and what they consume on them. What Reality Mine is now going to create, with the support of this grant, is the analytical layer to render this data we are collecting useful to content creators, content platforms , and the marketers / advertisers they work with.
Reality Mine is poised to help media companies understand exactly where and how consumers consume media across the spectrum of devices. With these insights, content creators can understand how content fits into this very different media landscape and can build the necessary business models to fit into this new ecosystem including new models including advertising, sponsorship and how to get consumers to pay for the content they consume.
Moreover, Reality Mine will be providing content creators with a completely unique view on how exactly consumers use media in this cross-platform environment. With this insight, content creators may see new opportunities to create new types of content, or new ways to package content better optimised for the way it fits into people's daily lives.
At this point in time, Reality Mine has already developed the tools to actually measure cross-platform media consumption. What Reality Mine will be using this grant for is to specifically develop the analytical metrics on top of the data to provide truly useful insights to the content producers. This is an optimal time for Reality Mine to make the best possible use of the grant to greatest impact.
