In the UK internet use from mobile devices has overtaken access from PC’s and laptops facilitated by the growth of the 4G Network and reflects changes in lifestyle, business use and the increasing development of mobile applications that can be used on the go. The mobile data is often purchased in “data bundles” to get the best value. However, exceeding a data limit results in expensive charges and consumers are becoming increasingly aware of how “datahungry” different Apps are. We have identified an opportunity to develop an Application Program Interface that would work on any mobile to server platforms that would drastically reduce the volume of data going through the socket [Data-Lite].
