Hi-Ground Ltd was approached by investors to develop their novel building system for use on water. This began an R&D journey which scoped out the possible use case for an off-grid, modular and reconfigurable floating living and working spaces which enhance the wetland habitat. The company built relationships with senior stakeholders in three key organisations who own and manage over 2500 waterways, looking for this solution as an alternative source of revenue, enabling us to scale quickly. We are seeking Innovate UK funding to support the R&D from concept to testing in a laboratory environment to de-risk initial private investment.
