The AppBall is a motion capture device that allows individual users to benefit from physical
interaction whilst playing Electronic games, undertaking fitness programs or using
specifically designed healthcare applications for medical treatment. APPball is an
ergonomically designed motion cradle that uses a Gym Ball as the motion enabler and is
agnostic across many devices including Smart TV's, Consoles, Smart Phones, Computers, and
Tablets. It combines conventional physical movement with an electronic interface that
captures and translates movement from the gym ball onto a screen, such as a TV. The device
delivers an element of Fitness and Fun to the Electronic Gaming Sector (e.g Benefits Obese
Children), Fitness Applications to deliver tailor made Fitness Programs (For Set Muscle
Groups or Cardio Workouts) and specifically designed Health treatment programs for injuries
and medical conditions. In the context of Health Care Applications, the response to the
application treatments is captured and monitored, enabling positive feedback that
demonstrates whether a treatment is working or not. With this information, application
changes can be made to improve the application treatment cycle, so that developments are
continuous and therefore on going improvement to the treatment programs are achieved. The
device uses an Application Platform (APPstore) that allows users to download applications for
specific tasks and uses, whilst developers will be able to upload applications (across Gaming,
Fitness and Health Care Channels) that they have developed and be paid for each application
sold. All data will be captured and stored for historical data mapping and reviewed so that
trend analysis can be performed. The key to this product is its simplicity and ability to utilise
many applications to deliver services and benefits to meet changing market demand.
