JKu & Associates aims to revolutionise corporate recruitment with innovative data-capture and analysis technology that will vastly help organisations identify, attract, and retain distinctive people and future leaders. Human talent is critical to any firm. However, most companies are neither effective nor efficient at choosing the right talent. They follow formulaic processes that produce redundant interviews over long periods of time. Moreover, interviewers have natural biases: they can misinterpret certain skills, believe exaggerated qualifications, and overlook beneficial attributes. Data, if captured, is traditionally unstructured and decentralised, hence unusable for improving future hiring decisions. As a result, hiring mistakes are frequent and costly. Harvard Business Review reports that “as much as 80% of employee turnover is due to a bad hiring decision.” In the UK, Career Builder reports that “nearly 7 in 10 businesses [had] a bad hire in the past year[6].” Talent Q reports that “bad hires cost UK businesses £5 billion a year[5].” In addition to quantifiable costs, under-performing employees reduce team morale. Our technology addresses these issues by 1) capturing and, uniquely, unifying all relevant data about employees throughout their entire employment lifecycle from job application to interviews to on-the-job performance; 2) applying proprietary data-analysis algorithms to extract and connect insights into interviewer techniques, candidate attributes and work performance; and 3) alerting interviewers in real-time about specific areas for focus during interviews using our mobile app. With our product, organisations can have much greater confidence in hiring candidates based on intrinsic ability and aptitude, rather than opaque employment and educational credentials. Ultimately, this will lead to job creation, higher job satisfaction and even a boost in economic growth.
