The purpose of this project is to develop and test a pre-clinical prototype of a novel sensor chip for medical in vitro diagnostics at the point of care. The new approach uses Raman spectrometry for the simultaneous quantitative testing of a number of biomarkers (initially C-Reactive Protein and cardiac biomarkers) with industry-leading accuracy, doing so in a compact and user-friendly format comprising a palm-sized device and a disposable chip.
