Chroniclewell.org helps funders of academic research to make the most of their money by ensuring that their grant holders follow best practices. Academics register studies with their funder simply by sharing manuscripts via Dropbox. Chronicle monitors the files as they are written, and prompts good practice when necessary. The support of Innovate UK has allowed us to work with computer scientists who are experts in the automated processing of academic texts. Together, we will build algorithms capable of processing manuscripts and making sure they adhere to gold standard reporting guidelines. The result will be published research which is more transparent and more replicable, leading to faster innovation and discovery.
