We've designed and patented a unique lubricating or hydraulic oil filtering system that keeps oil in an as-new condition for an extraordinarily long time. We learnt that the wind industry have experienced huge issues with premature failures of wind turbine transmissions. This issue has never been successfully resolved which has resulted in two of the three largest Western turbine OEM's redesigning their products to remove the gearbox completely. We believe by keeping the oil in an exemplary condition that it will result in far less mechanical wear and failures of both the gearbox and bearings. We've developed two systems. One for small and medium sized wind turbines and one with headroom for even the largest turbines currently on the drawing board. We need to measure how each unit works at different oil flowrates and oil viscosities so that we can provide an optimised lubrication solution to any customer regardless of their wind turbine size, turbine manufacturer or oil type used. Wind turbines are very expensive assets and potential customers have expressed concern that installing our system on their assets could provide a new potential failure mode. We've completed a 3 month product evaluation programme at Strathclyde University that proved the efficacy and performance of our system. What we need to do now is supplement this technical report with certification that our system can safely and consistently operate within specific parameters encountered by offshore wind turbines. We believe MasterFilter is the answer to a global Achilles heel. Our ambition is to be the filter of choice for the industry and we can achieve this with this final objective. Our system can be integrated into new turbines and can also be easily retrofitted into existing assets and we'll be positioned to exploit this.
