Public Funding for Lowrisc C.I.C.

To realise the aim of ‘Moving CHERI / CHERIoT / Sonata to Commercial Adoption’, lowRISC CIC are inviting a new Project partner, SCI Semiconductor Limited to assist with driving a commercial tape-out of the Sonata design. The Sonata board, which is an output of the Sunburst project, has been used by many different types and sizes of organisations for experimenting with CHERI and CHERIoT. The Sunburst-Chip will be largely based on the Sonata design. As a commercial tape-out there will be some proprietary elements but to as large an extent as possible lowRISC will commit an open-source top level design that will be verified - with the dashboards published publicly.
