Hyperactive Developments will build a large-scale social virtual gallery of London's Victorian Sewers Bazalgette's monumental transformation of central London by 1875 from foul sewage infused mud banks into a road and promenade built over sewer pipes and underground railways. Wearing special mixed-reality headsets (Magic Leap) viewers will be able to walk around a space, in groups, and examine particular 3D models, images and archives relating to Bazalgette's public works. We plan to pilot a mixed reality experience in Stratford Media Circus over 9 days in February 2022 and then aim to tour through the UK and internationally afterwards.
