Purius is a startup business developing a novel system for the purification of biopharmaceutical drugs that we call "resin-free purification". In the increasingly competitive field of biologics manufacture, the complex purification process is often the most expensive contributor to cost of goods. We aim to eliminate that complexity by eliminating all the traditional processing steps, condensing them into one simplified, sustainable and radically cheaper operation. Our innovative technology has the potential to transform current biomanufacturing operations. This project looks to expand on our previous work on antibody purification, expanding the potential targets for our purification technology whilst rapidly increasing our experimental capabilities. Our team comprises of a group of experts in the field with years of industrial and academic experience with a track record of innovation in the field, and we believe we have developed a business plan that can rapidly move this technology to market at the lowest risk and in the shortest time possible. The grant funding can help us reach that goal, to help drug manufacturers, and ultimately, help patients.
