Buildings are responsible for over 40% of the energy consumption and CO2 emissions in EU. Accordingly, The CE has stablished ambitious building standard aiming to transform all existing buildings into ZEBs by 2050 to reach a fully decarbonised building stock. SNUG aims to demonstrate on three real buildings with different characteristics, uses and climatology, the application of an innovative methodology to support planners of new buildings or retrofitting works in selecting the most appropriate set of insulation materials, their combination and placement to maximise the energy efficiency and minimize GHG emissions of the building throughout its life cycle to make its ZEB rating more easily achievable, considering specific building characteristics and its environment, at an optimal cost level. This methodology will be supported by: -A Digital Tool Assistant based on AI and virtual simulation which will range several final options of thermal insulation materials and layouts, based on benchmarks predictions related with energy demand (operational and embedded energy), sustainability, safe & security and cost and particular features of buildings. -Innovative sustainable-by-design thermal insulation materials and lightweight prefab solutions ready to the market deployment, based on Circular Economy, Smart and/or Renewable materials, able to improve energy efficiency and sustainability of buildings in comparison with current market solutions at a competitive cost. -Insulation materials database, including technical and LCA information. Innovative thermal insulation solutions will be incorporated including current solutions in the market. This database will be released as an open data outcome. -A Digital Building Logbook, collecting all the information about the buildings throughout their whole life in a digital and interoperable format with BIM and the DTA. This DBL will facilitate decision making and information sharing within the construction sector and stakeholders

BIMBOT is a new technology that delivers BIM models, generated with the assistance of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) engine, to the architectural and construction fields in order to optimise the process of designing housing units. The design of residential buildings must be compliant with a series of input parameters related to regulation and the experience and preferences of architects and users. The AI engine will translate these parameters into the most valuable architectural proposal. BIMBOT proposes a tool for Architects and Developers to reduce execution times when carrying out a residential project design by 40-70%. Besides, being able to develop an efficient building design within hours rather than months will not only reduce time but also costs for architecture firms. Moreover, the quality of the project is guaranteed by intelligently analyzing a broad range of alternatives to choose the option that best meets the overall given parameters.

"_Lurtis_ technology allows professional and amateur creators to produce digital contents in the most cost-efficient way. This mission, in the case of this project, is concreted into tools and services that assist game designers, modellers and artists in **the creation of complete 3D scenarios in few minutes** and they are particularly useful for fast prototyping with professional quality. This project extends the existing _HouseBuilder_ technology, which is able to **procedurally generate** building and their interiors, with two additional modules _CityPlanner_ (that generates cities and districts, including roads, terrains, and building layouts), and _InteriorDecorator_ (that procedurally generates furniture and decoration elements and arrange them inside a room). The whole pipeline provides tools for the users to produce a broad range of scenarios, with a dynamic definition of the level of detail from cities to building to decoration and furniture all of them in a coherent and automatic way. _Lurtis_ tools are cloud-based services that are configured by the user with high-level constraints and characteristics and interactively iterate to refine a model, **increasing professional users efficiently and allowing an amateur user to produce high-quality contents with minimal effort**."
