Floe is a health tech company founded in 2020 to address the UK's dental health crisis. Floe's aim is to become the global category leader for preventative dental health using a holistic subscription service including electric and manual toothbrushes, flosses, various toothpastes and most importantly a quarterly salivary biomarker test highlighting potential issues and showing improvements in oral health. While a large variety of salivary biomarkers exist, and Floe can analyse them in its proprietary laboratory, the field is still nascent and interpretation of the interplay of those biomarkers is difficult. Hence this project aims to develop an AI system that learns from existing proprietary health data, salivary biomarkers, dental clinical records and questionnaire data and is able to understand the information, recognise patterns, and produce actionable insights and graphics for users and their dentists, that will facilitate better oral and thus general health.
