**LOANHOOD is a circular fashion business** which currently operates a fashion rental marketplace app, in person events such as pop ups and clothes swaps as well as B2B partnerships. Our motivation stems from the growing trend towards sustainable consumption, and our strong aspiration to build a better future for generations to come. Our community comprises of individuals' personal wardrobes, as well as emerging designers and independent brands that are all involved in promoting style while being mindful of sustainability. **The problem we are addressing ...** Clothing sales doubled between 2000 - 2015 from 50bn units to over 100bn units but utilisation declined! Loanhoods overall mission is to * Prolonging the lifespan of clothing through circular solutions * Reduce the environmental impact of clothing by collectively increasing the number of times garments are worn * Improve EDI - creating business opportunities for startups and SMEs * Improve inclusivity within fashion **The benefits of a circular economy are clear, but the transition challenge within fashion is large.** LOANHOOD offers an end-to-end solution for renting clothes online. We are building a RENT NOW widget which is embedded into a brands website to make it easy for you to rent directly from them. Once we have developed the tech our brand partners can simply embed our low cost, web-based "Rent Now" widget into their current website, offering their customers a pay-per-wear option of items they are renting with LOANHOOD, directly from their e-commerce site via a rental button. The majority of fashion brands follow a linear take-make-waste approach and find it daunting to integrate into the circular economy. However, we aim to simplify this transition and are confident that our widget can offer a straightforward solution for brands to present a feasible option to traditional buying. We can scale this solution across small to large businesses and into new industries and already have a waitlist of potential brand partners.
