This project originally focused on the development of an advanced software security system aimed at combating the sharp rise in vehicle theft associated with keyless car technology witnessed in recent years, the system used a patented One Time Pad (OTP) authentication protocol. The proposed system was capable of defending against all current passive keyless entry attacks as well as the 'brute force' quantum attacks that are likely to become commonplace as quantum computing technology advances in the coming years. We are now proposing to expand the scope of the system to include a wide range of authentication scenarios that include but are not limited to: -Machine to machine secure authentication include remote access -Secure access systems both environmental and Supply chain -Financial and transactional systems The demonstration will provide not only car security but authentication security in the form of 3-way authentication using mobile and secure cloud-based servers. The solution can also be deployed in an offline mode, authenticating directly between devices. The project brings together a highly experienced consortium with specialists in cyber security, connected mobility, design of specialised IoT RF systems, and communications technology to develop a prototype system, we are testing a software solution, that will be designed in a way that can be ported onto multiple hardware platforms as part of commercialisation to assess technical and commercial viability
