Vann provides a digital platform that offers community support to people living with cancer and beyond, provides them with helpful resources and tools, as well as offers studies and surveys to take part in. Real World Data collected though studies and surveys will contribute to cancer research and drug development.
Within the scope of this project, we plan to
a) develop an AI powered tool, which will offer personalised information to patients based on their stage of treatment. This will supplement the existing platform and will leverage data that the users share through targeted research studies and surveys. This tool will be included in the premium plan, serving as a direct source of revenue.
b) conduct a feasibility study in order to analyse and evaluate the potential for the application of pharmacogenomics in our work. In particular, connecting genomic data with health and lifestyle data of users will enable the tool to focus on personalised medicine for the purposes of cancer prevention and to improve understanding of short-term and long-term side effects as well as the impact of cancer treatments on the quality of life of patients.
This grant funding will help to accelerate patient access to Vann's elegant and sophisticated platform and it will also allow earlier commercialisation.
