Redwood.rent is a new geospatial social network for renters which works to reduce the impact of the housing crisis and pandemic of loneliness across the UK. The platform fosters an improved living experience for the estimated 1.5M Brits who currently live in shared housing, especially for those in underrepresented and marginalised communities. In addition to helping people find their community, it also helps low-to-mid income renters gain access to more affordable housing stock by enabling them to find like-minded people to buddy up with and share the rent of 2+ bed vacant properties rather than compete for the limited low quality spare room housing stock. Using our proprietary geospatial algorithm with AI and a multitude of user insights, our vision for Redwood is to evolve into a platform that challenges the very nature of the housing crisis through a novel multi-pronged approach.
