Akimbo Core Ltd (Akimbo) is a UK cybersecurity SME with a core project team of Holly Grace Williams (Project/Technical/Inclusion/Diversity Lead) and Darren Mark Jolley (Commercial/Sustainability Lead). Akimbo is seeking funding to develop a cybersecurity platform that leverages sophisticated ML to reduce the need for human involvement, allowing for a significant cost reduction. Its unique approach to utilising ML for penetration testing sets it apart from competitors in the field of vulnerability management by reducing businesses' reliance on human involvement in vulnerability management, making penetration testing faster and more accurate and preventing costly security breaches and resulting issues, such as identity theft/fraud. Akimbo is also aligned with the UK government's goal to increase diversity within STEM.
