Public Funding for Apex Additive Technologies Ltd

In this project Domin and Gen3D will develop and validate on representative hardware a highly compact electrically signalled and powered brake actuator system, capable of yielding significant benefits over both existing hydraulic and emerging electromechanical systems. Using advanced technologies such as Additive Manufacturing, generative design and high speed motor control the consortium will demonstrate weight reductions of 30kg per aircraft, bandwidth increases of 5x and development cycle time reductions of 4x vs conventional technology, enabling a faster transition to a more electric aircraft.
