The "Argus Bullet Time Rig Commercialisation" project aims to enhance and expand our innovative bullet time photography technology. Building on our initial success with a 24-camera prototype rig, this project will upgrade the system to a 36-camera array. This expansion addresses the growing demand for high-quality, immersive visual effects in various creative industries, including film, television, photography, IT gaming, software, publishing, and music performing and visual arts.
Our current 24-camera rig has demonstrated significant potential, generating interest and initial client engagement. However, feedback from commercial clients has highlighted the need for a larger camera array to achieve the superior visual effects required for professional productions. By increasing the number of cameras to 36, we will enhance the rig's capabilities, allowing us to capture more angles and create more dynamic and seamless bullet time effects.
This project represents a significant innovation in the accessibility and scalability of high-end visual effects technology. Traditionally, such advanced visual effects have been restricted to big-budget productions. Our expanded rig will democratize this technology, making it available to a broader range of creative professionals and businesses. This will foster greater creativity and innovation within the creative sectors and drive industry growth.
The funding from the DCMS Create Growth Programme Competition 3 will be utilized to purchase the additional 12 cameras and integrate them into our existing setup. Our team will conduct thorough testing to ensure the system operates at optimal performance levels. We will also implement a targeted marketing strategy to promote our enhanced capabilities and attract new clients.
We anticipate that the expanded rig will be fully commercialised within 12 months, opening new business opportunities and contributing to the growth of the creative industry in our region. The Argus Bullet Time Rig Commercialisation project will provide state-of-the-art visual effects services, stimulate collaboration among local creatives, and support economic development.
This project aligns with our commitment to innovation and growth, promising significant benefits for the creative industries and the wider community.

Sunniside Studios will be a studio space for film, photography and a creative hub for professionals.
The space will be focused on housing the equipment needed to scan humans and objects, then convert them into 3D assets used in Film Production, Computer Game Development, AR/VR Apps and immersive experiences. This project will convert a 14m x 10m with 2 floors workshop portion of a building owned wholly by Sunniside Studios Ltd into a purpose made studio and workspace.
This will attract 3D animators, film makers, and game developers to the area, as well as help support creatives nationally and locally with specialised equipment that is only available in a handful of locations globally.
The studios can also be used as a traditional photography and film studio, as well as workspace for other creatives to work together.
