_SWEED is a sustainable seaweed material used to replace plastic packaging films in a myriad of industries. It decomposes safely in the ocean and can be disposed of with food waste as home compostable._ _SWEED's main component, seaweed, is one of the most efficient organisms capturing CO2\. In fact, if 9% of oceans were covered with Seaweed farms, we could offset all of the current humans' CO2 emissions. Seaweed farms use no freshwater, land, fertiliser, and pesticides to produce the seaweed. The combination of CO2 sequestration with the sustainability of its production makes seaweed such a better material source when compared with other sources used in bioplastics such as starch. The UK is leading the European seaweed farms expansion, and we will be using local seaweed to supply our products._
