Our vision is to design, build and operate moderately priced high performance unmanned aircraft (drones) that are more efficient, making it viable to solve real world problems; middle-mile logistics to serve remote and rural areas, fighting wildfires and precision agriculture.
**Middle-mile logistics**
The developing world and countries ravaged by war lack the infrastructure to reach those in urgent need of medical and essential food supplies. Capable of operating in extreme conditions and requiring only a 135m of a dirt road for take-off and landing, the AIRRIE NOVA will carry up to 500kg of urgent medical and essential food supplies over a 1000km range safely while operating under the cover of darkness.
**Fighting wildfires**
Wildfires dominate news headlines daily with thousands of people left homeless and millions of hectares destroyed. Increasing temperatures, longer fire seasons, budget cuts and the cost of operating a large fleet of manned aircraft are stretching air and ground resources. Operated remotely, our cost effective firefighting drone will be readily available in high risk areas without the logistics and associated costs of having the manned equivalent fleet on standby. With the ability to operate in extreme winds, low visibility and at night, the AIRRIE PHOENIX carrying 500 litres of fire retardant chemicals provides a solution to fight wildfires more effectively.
**Precision agriculture**
According to the United Nations World Food Programme, "As many as **828 million people go to bed hungry every night."** Without access to effective farming technology, subsistence farmers are barely able to grow enough to feed their immediate families.Cost effective crop spraying drones can apply fertilisers to increase crop yields and pesticides in the event of a pest outbreak. The AIRRIE AG carrying 500 kilograms of fertiliser will be able to fertilise 50 farmers 1 acre plots with one load, reducing waste and increasing yields. Surplus grown crops can be sold providing a means to bring themselves out of poverty. Crop analysis data gathered from onboard sensors will instantaneously be shared to agricultural experts around the world for expert advice.
