The podcasting industry is currently geared towards big corporations, brands and celebrities, that have been best positioned to flood the market and exploit growth in podcasting as an art-form over the last 15 years.
The questions this project aims to answer are:
* How can podcasting move beyond its current dependence on advertising revenue?
* How can smaller businesses and creators, with important stories to tell be financially, empowered to generate content, take creative risks and compete in the current market?
Developing innovative legal frameworks for a new partnership and income generation model, this project will devise two models that will tackle the problem head on.
The two models will work symbiotically to create a cohesive and holistic approach to cross industry collaboration and creativity and at the same time offer a simple, diversified revenue generation model for brands, organisations and corporates from different sectors of the economy to invest in creatives and creative output.
The two models, which will be brought to market and tested using our prototype, will ensure new and more sustainable streams of revenue for the podcasting industry, particularly for smaller businesses and niche creators.
