Hilary Lok, co-founder of EdTech startup Dot Dot Fire and a trailblazer in ethical business, has dedicated her career to making a difference. Hong Kong born and bred, Hilary set foot in the UK in 2021 in the midst of the pandemic, leaving family and friends behind, determined to bring Dot Dot Fire's gaming education to the world. With no connections in Europe, her achievements in the UK were all wrested with bare hands.
Under the leadership of Hilary, Dot Dot Fire uplifts young people trapped in generational debt. She developed the Money Wise Game app which has over half a million players worldwide and is the only game supported by the Consumer Federation of America. It won the Educational Game of the Year awarded by the Institute of Financial Literacy (USA) and is currently ranked No. 2 Best Educational Mobile Game by The Gamer.
With a proven track record, Hilary sets her sights on the next ambition for Dot Dot Fire: Money Wise Women - a financial capability intervention for young women. Responding to a pressing need for greater financial inclusion, Money Wise Women aims to close the financial confidence gap and in turn, increase the financial capability of women aged 18 -- 30\. The project will leverage Dot Dot Fire's signature life simulation games as an innovative form of financial capability intervention, combining the benefits of gamification, experiential learning and digital scalability. With Money Wise Women, Hilary is here to lead a generation of financially confident women for a more equitable world.
