This project will develop a working model for a pioneering digital platform to deliver electronic music education and rehabilitation programmes. The Platform provides a step forward in accessibility for the creative industry, offering a solution to the pressing challenges of education accessibility and rehabilitation for individuals with lifelong catastrophic injuries, with its unique fusion of education and therapeutic benefits. Rooted in the success of music as therapy and driven by the increasing demand for innovative interventions, the platform will provide alternative educational opportunities due to its remote nature, and pioneer a holistic approach to rehabilitation, expanding this within the creative industry.
At the heart of the vision for the Platform is a commitment to providing high-quality education, exemplified by BPM's accreditation with the London College of Music. The Platform will enable individuals to work towards accredited courses that not only align with industry standards but also go beyond, encompassing music production skills alongside a curriculum aligning with GCSE standards. This enables talented individuals to access tailored education, where conventional education becomes inaccessible due to physical and cognitive problems after acquired brain injury, providing a pathway for talented individuals to access vocations within the creative industry, which is becoming increasingly challenging.
