In today's data-driven age, only large, wealthy businesses can fully unify their data to gain valuable insights. Most SMEs can't afford the coders needed for data interpretation, leaving the non-technical knowledge worker, a professional who is commercially literate of technically illiterate, struggling with data analysis due to a lack of coding skills. Despite the rise of AI, mass data illiteracy remains a problem. In reality, most small and mid-sized businesses operate without clear data insights, unlike large enterprises that can leverage data effectively. The pressing challenge is to level the playing field and diversify the UK's technology sector by making data analysis accessible to all, regardless of educational background. Cubode's current product uses a visual canvas, enabling non-technical users to build automated data workflows to produce repeatable results. This project aims to leverage generative AI, allowing non-technical users to simply state their desired output in English. The system then automatically constructs a visual data workflow, combining two powerful technologies: No Code and AI. The potential lies in the ability to ask any real-world, commercial question to extract data insights, without dealing with the technicalities of coding or the need to articulate business needs in code. Essentially, the generative AI transposes a commercial question into a coding one and visualizes the outputs. Currently, no such product exists on the market. Cubode is set to deliver significant economic benefits across multiple sectors by enabling knowledge workers to automate data tasks efficiently, reducing the need for specialized technical skills. This could have a profound social impact by making data-driven decision-making accessible to a wider audience, promoting social inclusion and reducing barriers to entry in the tech sector for individuals from non-STEM backgrounds or underrepresented groups.
