Company description

DyeRecycle has developed a process for removing dye from old fabrics to be used on new material.

It is time to address chemical circularity in the fashion and textile industry. Our technology solves two of the greatest challenges facing the industry: dye pollution and textile waste. We are turning to sustainable green chemistry to close the loop for dyes in the textile industry while also enabling fibre circularity. We are extending the service life of dyestuff to colour a new garment. We do this by using textile waste as an untapped feedstock for dyes and colours. DyeRecycle's mission is to lead chemical circularity in the fashion industry. Sustainability comes in all colours, and we are here to make it happen.

Project impact

DyeRecycle Ltd was formed as a consequence of the FFF Investment Committee choosing to award them funding in the FFF Responsive R&D Call 5 process. FFF introduced the company to one of our larger established manufacturing members (Camira) and they are currently undertaking some research exploring ways to extract & reuse dyes from textile waste.
