StartSortScale, a UK-based technology consulting SME, is collaborating with Orbital Global Group on this project. The core project team comprises Jeremy Healsmith (project lead, StartSortScale), Robyn Greaves (partnership lead, StartSortScale) and Dr Sathish Sankarpandi (technical lead, Orbital). UK charities are being squeezed by the cost-of-living crisis that is causing more people to seek support. But falling donations are threatening their services. Access to information and tools to make data-driven decisions is vital for enabling sustainable income generation for charities. To this end, StartSortScale and Orbital are developing a web platform to leverage machine learning with charity and socioeconomic data to pinpoint ideal donors and fundraising strategies for maximum ROI. The solution will help charities access underutilised data to generate the income necessary to provide services to support vulnerable communities. This solution will be the first to benefit charities without established individual donor programs by generating insights into donor preferences and boosting responses.
