Public Funding for Tempo Reading Global Ltd

The UK is facing a literary crisis. More than 200,000 Primary School learners (30%) are not reading with fluency before reaching Secondary School. Tempo Reading App will change this by revolutionising the way people read and absorb information. Our aim is to transform learning and address the crisis of skim reading and shortened attention spans by equipping students to be hyper-focussed and identify their 'Optimal Tempo of Focus', while improving home reading levels, reducing teacher workload, and empowering the neurodiverse community. Tempo takes a novel approach and is patent pending. It recognises that individuals have distinct reading speeds, and instead of allowing you to settle into your usual leisurely pace of reading or skim read, it analyses your performance and dynamically adjusts the presentation of text based on your focus rate. This synchronisation, according to studies, leads to significantly improved comprehension and retention rates. Tempo empowers every person with a personalised learning approach that optimises focus and combats distraction -- offering a lifeline to educators, parents, and institutions seeking to unlock true understanding, academic success, and lifelong learning skills in every student. In this grant we aim to accelerate our go-to-market plan and provide funds to fine tune and improve the product's features. The funding will also further our neurocognitive research by allowing us to conduct further trials to better understand and improve the platform's impact on reading and learning.
