The construction industry faces new challenges as governments worldwide aim to cut down embodied carbon emissions. To survive and thrive, the industry needs to innovate and find sustainable building materials that comply with these new regulations. Property developers are increasingly concerned about sustainability and green certification as governments enforce new regulations to limit embodied carbon emissions. For example, Skanska, supports the Paris Agreement and wants to achieve carbon neutrality in their projects without relying on carbon offsetting schemes. Other companies like Ballymore, CBRE and Galliard Homes share similar sustainability goals. Principal contractors who work with developers and architects to meet building material specifications and deliver the project. * According to the United Nations Environment Programme, the construction industry is responsible for 39% of greenhouse gases, with building materials contributing 11% of emissions. * Carbon Leadership Forum's [survey][0] interviewed more than 100 property developers and 44% of them said that they are actively working to reduce embodied carbon in their buildings. We are proud to present our first innovation: a carbon neutral wall stud made of natural biomass and plastic waste. Our recipe will enable us to replace light gauge steel studs in any building project, reducing the embodied carbon across the entire industry. Our vision is to see the fabric of every building and structure in the world to be made up of less carbon intensive materials. From wall studs to plasterboards, beams to joists, corrugate to cladding and even screws - building every type of structure with a zero carbon footprint.
