3D-Video is a new technology that allows for the streaming and replaying of real-world events in a virtual 3D environment. This offers content creators the ability to reposition a virtual camera anywhere they want after recording, giving consumers a much more immersive experience. This is not currently possible without building complex computer generated scenes, making 3D-video truly unique. There is a consistent demand for more realistic and engaging content from consumers. My project is designed to meet that.
3D-video enables creators to capture events from multiple angles and offer their audiences a unique perspective. Furthermore, creators will be able to produce previously impossible camera movements that rapidly whip around a subject. To make this possible, a creator will need at least three camera perspectives, but no further hardware is required. This technology is particularly valuable for large events, such as concerts or broadcasted conferences since it allows viewers to experience the event as if they were there in person.
In summary, 3D-video offers content creators the ability to provide new view-points to their consumers by changing the camera position after recording. My vision is for 3D-video to become the next innovation in the world of visual storytelling.
