Kickback Kitchen CIC, Just, good food We're a tenacious Community Interest Company, cooking up a storm by making it easy for local communities to serve affordable, nutritious, ready-to-reheat meals from underused school and community kitchens, where everyone "chips in what they can." Some contribute more, some less, but no one is turned away. The result? A self-financing food service that brings people together, reduces stigma, cuts waste, creates jobs, and keeps money circulating locally. Our model isn't charity. It's community-powered. Meals are co-designed by residents, prepared by paid local cooks using surplus or overlooked ingredients, and distributed through trusted organisations already embedded in neighbourhoods. We don't just feed people, we build resilience, dignity, and connection. Kickback Kitchen has already delivered hundreds of meals, generated energy savings, reduced carbon, and shown real appetite for a new kind of community food future. With national partners like Hubbub and the Community Fridge Network, we're now scaling up; turning a grassroots solution into a replicable, flat-pack franchise that any community can run.
