**This project is focused on developing a proprietary AI model to be tested as part of the Low Carbon Impact (LCI) unique net zero advisory service for Mid-Market Enterprises (MMEs).** LCI will directly address a significant new problem facing MMEs in the mobility/product manufacture/built environment sectors (we define MMEs as having annual revenues of ~£25m-£400m/200-2000 employees). This market pressure is material. These enterprises are subject to significant new net zero regulation in Europe/UK/North America/AsiaPacific. Regulation requires MMEs to both report greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and execute a coherent/compelling plan to reduce these emissions. Regulation is also creating stress in their supply chains, as customers pass the same pressures onto their suppliers. Also, with banks/insurance companies accountable for their financed/insured emissions, they are placing a premium on enterprises that cannot demonstrate a coherent/compelling GHG reduction plan. MMEs have no immediate answer. Due to their limited scale, they lack internal skills to address these challenges. They also cannot access the required depth of external advice. Traditional consultancies are not geared to meet this need. LCI has defined a genuinely innovative response. It combines the potential of generative AI with a network of highly experienced net zero practitioners. The model will be trained on publicly available and proprietary data sets across a full range of domains. The domains include, but are not restricted to, energy sources/vectors/assets, transport/mobility solutions, buildings, and production facilities. The AI model will act as a significantly enhanced net zero decision-making tool. It will enable LCI, with and through its advisors, to deliver a suite of advisory services to commercial, industrial and public organisations. The LCI proposition is demonstrably scalable. It will incorporate local/international data and build out its data sets to enable it to efficiently deploy across sectors/geographies. In addition, the business model is flexible. LCI will accelerate the delivery of net zero for MMEs, which account for ~30% of GHG emissions. In terms of the UK economy, LCI addresses 3 important UK economic and societal priorities - leadership in generative AI, accelerating attainment of net zero, and increasing workforce productivity. **The project's AI-model output will be at the heart of LCI's minimum viable product (MVP) test in 2024\.**
