This project will assess the market and technical feasibility of a new artificial intelligence (AI) tool that automates the process of generating garment patterns from fashion designer sketches. We believe the technology will substantially shorten the time between a designer finishing a sketch and creating a pattern for this sketch, freeing up time to spend on the more creative aspects of the fashion design process. Run by a team with combined expert knowledge of both fashion design and AI engineering, we aim to define a new fashion design model which will be proven through research and prototyping, leading to developing the idea towards a commercial ready prototype.
